Hello, I got this problem when I wanted to try Fivem again after not playing it for maybe a year, but when I tryed to start and update fivem I frist got error about win32 error 2. After I fixed that with renaming “CitizenFX.exe.new” to “CitizenFX.exe” I got fivem to start. But then I get this problem about steam id on almost all servers :frowning: And yes I have steam open… I have tried to reinstall fivem and restarted my computer, and also tried to restart steam many times.

Well for steam , launch it before fivem
Second one WHY DID YOU RENAMED EXE TO CITIZENFX.EXE. ITS FIVEM.EXE ???

Ok! I obviously launch steam before fivem every time I try. And I renamed it cuz if I dont I always get “win32 error 2 was encountered when updating FiveM (copying game exeutable)”

Well! If I dont rename it I get “win32 error 2 was encountered when updating FiveM (copying game exeutable)” and fivem wont start!

Now I have it as normal “CitizenFX.exe.new” and I only get error.

Your installation is totally WRONG!!! You shouldn’t rename it , this error is caused by something else

Hmm thats wierd cuz I got the same error first time I installed it and I didnt do anything. If you dont understand the only thing thats help me is to rename it! But then I get this ingame error about steam id!

Ingame error I told you RUN STEAM BEFORE FIVEM
And like I said rename is not a solution

btw I maybe got it to work now by disabling auto containment on my antivirus and the antivirus is self.

Last time I did this I only disabled antivirus and nothing els in the program xD

Okay it seems like I got it working after I disabled the antivirus 100%
