FiveM recursive freezes/hitching on clients

Following this guide we published a how-to in our server and it solved the issue for a majority of our players.

I just wish there was some way that this is done automatically so people can’t starve their VRAM because they turn that stuff all the way up for some reason.

Maybe some sort of dynamic allocation could work? The game detects we’ve hit the allotted streaming budget, it automatically increases the limit a bit to make room for more assets (if there is VRAM available). It’d essentially work the same way as the extended texture budget slider.

After I read this I went ahead and disabled superfetch myself to see if it had any effect (I don’t currently suffer from bad hitches on my client) and it actually had the opposite effect. Turning superfetch off caused my game to get really bad hitches when loading streamed assets.
