FiveM Problem that needs to stop

How come nearly every time fivem does an update they don’t release information about it. To add on top of that FiveM tends to break my server. Developers at FiveM need to step up and release some update notes. Just note down what you have changed that’s all. This makes it easier on the developers of the servers to fix their problems. If anyone has the same issues bump this topic, please.

Another issue is their support. If you don’t follow their exact template your automatically denied of help no matter how simple the fix is. Also even if you do follow their template they usually can’t help. We need better support.

PS: Memes are so good at times…
PPS: I don’t really care if you think I’m insulting you.

To sort of address your issues before you edited them… There are few developers working on FiveM in their own free time. They very likely don’t want to spend the extra time remembering and writing down each little change they make. If there are major changes, they do get posted usually.

Secondly, the format is there for a reason. If you don’t put in the effort to even fill the format to give the most information about your problem, why should anybody else put the effort to try and help? Back to the few devs point, they can’t help every single person. FiveM is not complete. There are going to be issues coming and going.

But… pointless post is pointless.

You can view the exact changes in every update on the GitHub repository: https://github.com/citizenfx/fivem/commits/master - writing manual update changelogs is just a vehicle to instill hate (‘wow this update broke my game!!!’ - no, it didn’t) and would literally just copy/paste the content of that in most cases.

In addition, most issues people post that don’t have any help posted are in fact unfixable as there’s no way to reproduce said error for testing of fixes/further investigation.

This is a free program, you’re not entitled to anything at all.

Also, ‘break your server’ - that’s weird, as we test each update on a variety of servers, and nothing has broken that has needed to be fixed by a server owner ever. Probably it’s more likely that you break your own server and find it fun to blame ‘updates’ for that breakage.
