What is the issue you’re having?
I purchased GTAV off of Steam, and then downloaded FiveM. Once downloaded the file (which does not have .exe in the name) would update, but not open - instead it would say “Select file that contains GTAV” however, no matter which file I select it says “this file does not contain GTAV”.

What are you trying to do?
I would like to use FiveM to join RP servers.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?
Yes, I watched many tutorials, sent messages to other gamers, reinstalled, etc. I also tried to change file location. Restarted computer.

Error screenshot (if any):

What did you do to get this issue?
I downloaded FiveM and tried to open the program.

What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
NA

five m 2
FIVE M 3

Additional comments

I have tried multiple different ways of downloading FiveM, and no matter what I do this message comes up and I can’t seem to get passed it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! However please note that I am not a computer genius!

Thank you! <3

Well you have to use GTA V and not GTA IV  That is the reason why it is not working.

I can’t seem to find GTA V on Steam, however I can purchase it on Rockstar - would that be fine to use with FiveM?

Yes, any version of GTA5 will work, not sure why you wouldnt be able to find it on steam though.

I got the same issues, i bought GTA V, Installed Rockstar Games, and FiveM. But when Im trying to open the FiveM it’s just a white blank launcher. and it has an error. How to fix this things? I watched many videos in yt and tried them but still doesn’t work.
