This is the first time I have played FiveM, just installed after first having problems with Avast removing files, disabled antivirus and removed and reinstalled FiveM, game loads up fine and can join servers from the menu, once in the game it freezes in intervals of 2-3 seconds every second, fps is fine in between freezes. Managed to go into graphic settings and turn everything down to ‘Normal’ if for some reason the settings were a problem but no difference. I have no trouble running the base game on or offline and after going into the benchmark mode with the newly changed settings I averaged 80-100fps with no freezing. Have looked online including this forum for FiveM freezing issues but could not find anything related. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Do you get any resource warnings? (black box in bottom right of screen that appears and disappears)

Just loaded back into a server to check, but no resource warning/blackbox. Its so strange, it completely freezes for 2-3 seconds and then unfreezes for 1-2 seconds and is completely smooth, just repeats the same pattern without any inconsistency, doesnt freeze any more or less regardless of the game settings, area of the map or what other players are doing. Have only tried drifting servers so far but joined 3 separate ones with other players who have no issues.
@TheIndra Indra we seem to be the FiveM night owl support team (lol)
Any ideas for our friend here?
I’m still new to this whole tech support thing and haven’t encountered a problem of this description.

Uh do you encounter this too on “vanilla server”? Should be a server in serverlist with lion icon

Just joined the Vanilla EU server and the problem still persists

Not sure if this is related or helps solve the issue or not, but after pressing F8, iv noticed that these errors come up each time after it freezes.

So after completely reinstalling the game and FiveM and still having no luck, hours later I have finally found the problem, seems to be my Logitech G430 headset drivers causing it, once disabled in device manager the FiveM runs completely normal, so now I need to try and find a solution to this so I can use them…

Sounds like you got a new headset to buy!
Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance.

No worries, I can unplug the USB adapter and use the headphone and mic jack to bypass the drivers, although il lose surround sound this way. Only happens on FiveM, no other game or even the GTAV base game so not worth buying a new headset for lol
