- FiveM is not ransomware
- The screenshots clearly indicate that FiveM is creating files in NV_Cache, which is for caching shadows from your Nvidia GPU. This is most likely a behavior you would also see GTA V doing, but since it detected FiveM as ransomware, it thinks it’s not supposed to be doing this.
- Same goes for accessing your GTA V profile and other things related to Steam
I can ASSURE you and your dad that FiveM is NOT ransomware and never was! Anti-virus software use a list of applications that they think are ransomware. FiveM is open source software (https://github.com/citizenfx/fivem/) and does not do anything weird.
TIL, add FiveM.exe and the FiveM folder to your exceptions list. If this doesn’t help, disable your anti-virus. Honestly, anti-virus software is not needed on Windows 10. You got Windows Defender.
