Important parts

What is the issue you’re having?
When playing FiveM I fall through the map sometimes, when this happens I just keep falling and can’t get back on the map. When this happens ESC doesn’t work and I have to F8 quit. I can’t relaunch FiveM since it’s still running in the background and I won’t be able to close it with Task Manager. Usually I have to restart my PC. Also, my Windows just crashes… Discord works completely fine but File Explorer and Task Manager freeze most of the time.
What are you trying to do?
Just casual roleplay, driving around.
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
I’ve tried reinstalling FiveM and reinstalling my GPU Drivers. This didn’t fix the issue. I think it might be a motherboard problem or a Windows 11 problem.
Error screenshot (if any):
No.
What did you do to get this issue?
No clue, this started a few weeks ago.
What server did you get this issue on? Be specific and name some, ‘all of them’ by itself isn’t useful!
Amstelstad Roleplay

Does this happen on the FiveM testing server? FiveM.net testing server b2372 / Cfx.re if it doesn’t then it’s mostly likely that server that’s causing you to fall through the map, turning up your extended texture budget setting might resolve your issue. As for your other problems (windows crashing, not being able to close the process) not sure how to help you.

Hi there, thanks for replying to my topic. I’ve tried it out and, yes, it happens here as well. What could solve this problem?

If a process can’t be closed using Task Manager, it’s usually the case some driver or hardware hang occurred (i.e. ‘kernel mode’). Since this seems to be related to the I/O threads, I’d suspect your SSD/HDD or something related to it.
