Failed to allocate memory for Vulkan upon launching RedM

What is the issue you’re having?

Upon every RedM launch, they analyze data (etc, all the screens before RedM physically launches), but upon the actual launch it black screens & crashes.

  • Discord is open. Rockstar is open. Steam is open.
  • Failed to allocate memory for Vulkan
    VK result:
  • Failed to allocate memory for Vulkan
    VK result: 4294967283
  • Laptop RAM is 16GB (game runs fine on high)

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

  • Deleted the cache file for RedM
  • Uninstalled RedM, verified integrity of game files via Steam, then reinstalled RedM (THIS FIXED IT until RedM crashed & now it’s throwing the errors again)
  • Allotted more RAM space (made it worse)
  • Restarted laptop
  • Restarted all the associated apps (discord, rockstar, steam)

What server did you get this issue on?

None, can’t even reach RedM UI
