I came across a script online and had a question regarding its compliance with FiveM’s guidelines, specifically related to EUP department naming. Are servers still allowed to use traditional department names such as ICE, BCSO, LSPD, LAPD, or LCSO, or do these need to be changed to fictional or modified versions to remain within FiveM’s rules? I’ve tried researching this but haven’t found a clear answer, so I wanted to verify what is considered acceptable.
Nobody’s going to give you a clear answer here, but for a start - the core of the issue is whether the agency name and/or logo and/or anything else related is copyrighted in any way. If it is, you can’t use it - if not, you can. In general names and abbreviations are fine, but directly using IRL logos is usually not a good idea. DYOR.

If it’s within the GTA 5 universe it’s fine to use. If it’s from real life then you should stay away from it.
