I have a home hosted server, and I installed esx resource into the server, but now, when a player join, requires the steam id, and in the database at identifier column, the steam id appears. I want to change this to create a random 4 digits number, as a player identifier. Where I should change this?
This is my esx installation:
The steam identifier is what ESX uses to identify the player, since it’s unique. You would have no way to correlate a random 4 digit number with a specific player. You could add an ID field with a different unique ID, if desired, and it would be coorelated with the Steam ID. https://forums.mysql.com/read.php?24,425424,425491
You could also set an ID field as an integer and automatically increment it (suggested). If you want 4 digits, you could start the ID field at 1000 and as long as you don’t go over 9999 it will be four digits.

Yes but I don’t want to be required to be the steam opened!
Can I modify in the esx script to remove steam identifier?
EssentialMode requires SteamID auth. I seem to remember someone saying they managed to remove it but I have no idea where. Also I don’t think this needs a whole thread as you could have asked in either the ES thread or the ESX thread.
this is also why i suggested posting in there topic to see if someone can assist you.

Please do not create new topics for support/questions related to existing resources.
Only ask questions or request support in the original resource topic, or on whatever site/page you got the resource from (for example: create an issue on the GitHub page of the resource that you downloaded).
That way the original resource creator will get a notification and be able to help properly. This also helps to reduce duplicate topics of the same issue, because everything will be inside the original topic, allowing everyone to see all issues and solutions in one place.
Thanks for keeping the forums tidy.
