Got my attention the resin recipe wasn’t doin it for me I might pick this up today now
Feature request: xp system
Reasoning: Typically, when people IRL are printing 3d objects, they need to design them in a program. While this process is ridiculous to implement in FiveM, it could be simulated with an XP system defined per item in the config. Each craft would award x amount of XP on successful completion to the player who started the initial craft.
@Qubit will you please consider adding this feature?
Many of our customers have requested an XP & Level System-based 3D Printing system, and this suggestion has already been accepted and is currently in development. Thank you very much for your suggestion ![]()
Excellent, I purchased it last night, I look forward to your update!
The XP and level update will take some time to be released, as it will require significant changes to the core structure. I can’t dedicate much time to it due to my busy schedule on this month. In the meantime, we are also working on other projects. Thank you very much for your interest ![]()
Stashes don’t seem to be working with ox_inventory, every time we set the setting to “true” and try to access the stash, it simply says, you cannot access this stash.
Hello @MetaVoxel, we’ve rarely heard about this issue from two other users as well. Could you please provide us with the following information so that we can reproduce and resolve the error, and release a new version within this week:
- Which framework are you using, and what is the version number in the fxmanifest?
- Which version of Ox Inventory are you using?
Hey, I’ve responded in a ticket, let’s go there so you aren’t in two places at once, thank you!
We thank you, i cyour ticket ![]()
hey bud just want to ask do you have XP and level system
Hello, @ClayTownRP
Unfortunately, the XP development is still in progress, as we dedicated all our time to ensuring stability and resolving other critical issues ![]()
UPDATE 1.4.1
Note: 1.1.9 > 1.4.0 behind dev versions are skipped.
-
Bucket System: The bucket infrastructure has been completely revised and restructured, fixing possible interior and outdoor issues.
-
Invisible Printer Issue: This issue was related to the bucket system and has been completely fixed and tested.
-
Printing Effect Sync: All effects are now synchronized and visible to all players.
-
Huge Performance Change: With the new structure, resmon usage has decreased by ~25%, unnecessary threads have been closed, and the system is now more stable.
-
Object Bugging: Sometimes, when a print job was completed, an object taken by one player would still appear for others. Now, objects are properly synchronized and removed or changed for all players.
-
New Sound Framework : mx-surround, high_3dsounds is supported now
UPDATE 1.4.5
Note: 1.4.1 > 1.4.5 behind dev versions are skipped.
You can now fully use the fully animated 3D printer model. Along with this update, the issue of the target interfering with other players or props has been completely resolved. Significant optimizations have been made to the sync system, and all critical bugs reported to us have been fully fixed. From now on, all future updates will focus solely on systems.
Additionally, you can now set grade-based restrictions in the job section for forced access to the printer.
UPDATE 1.4.6
Open-source support has been added for item-related operations concerning external inventory compatibilities and unsupported inventories.
UPDATE 1.5.3
This update brings full filament awareness to the 3D Printer, from smarter menus to automatic inventory handling, along with a complete filament item set and backward compatibility for legacy printers.
Backward Compatibility: Legacy Printer Migration
- Printers created with older versions that had filament loaded but no
mixture_typeon record are now automatically migrated at startup. They’ll be assigned the default filament type (pla) with no manual intervention needed.
New: Filament-Aware Item Menu
-
The print item selection menu now filters available items based on the currently loaded filament. Items that require a different filament type are shown as disabled, so players always know what they can and can’t print.
-
Each item’s description now shows its required filament as a prefix (e.g.
[Carbon Fiber] ...), making filament requirements readable at a glance, even for disabled entries.
New: Inventory-Aware Mixture Selection
- The filament selection menu now performs a real-time inventory check. Only filaments the player actually has in their inventory are selectable, with current stock shown inline (e.g.
3x). Filaments not in inventory still appear as disabled entries for reference.
New: Filament and Battery Refund on Printer Removal
- Removing a printer now automatically returns any loaded filament and battery to the player’s inventory. Nothing gets lost.
New: Filament Swap Refund
- Swapping out a fully loaded filament (100%) for a different type now returns the old filament to the player’s inventory before loading the new one.
UI Polish: Cleaner Menus
-
The required items row is now hidden when a printable item has no material requirements, removing empty metadata clutter from the UI.
-
The filament selection menu no longer shows a redundant item name under each option.
Config: Realistic Filament Assignments
- All 22 printable items now ship with semantically appropriate filament types configured out of the box. Weapons use carbon fiber or metal fill, flexible parts use TPU, electronics use ABS or polycarbonate, decorative items use wood fill or PLA, and so on.
New Items: Full Filament Set
-
16 filament types have been added across all item format files (
items.txt,items.sql,ox_inventory_items.txt): PLA, ABS, HIPS, PETG, ASA, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, TPU, TPE, Carbon Fiber, Metal Fill, Wood Fill, Standard Resin, Tough Resin, and Flexible Resin. -
The deprecated
3d_resinitem has been removed.
Upgrade Notes
This update includes breaking config changes and replaces all game files. Please read carefully before upgrading.
Backup First
-
Back up your
config.luabefore upgrading — your current settings will need to be manually merged into the new config structure. -
Back up your database before upgrading. Database tables will be migrated automatically on first launch, but a backup is strongly recommended as a safety measure.
-
All game files have been replaced in this version. Make sure to fully replace the resource folder rather than merging old files.
Required Config Changes
-
Each printable item in
config.luamust now include amixtureTypefield specifying its required filament type. Items without this field will not function correctly. -
Add the new
Config.MixtureTypestable to your config. This defines all available filament types and their properties. Refer to the defaultconfig.luashipped with this version for the full structure. -
Add the new
Config.ShowNotMatchingMixtureOnMenuparameter to your config. This controls whether items requiring a different filament than the one currently loaded appear as disabled entries in the print menu (true) or are hidden entirely (false).
Migration
-
Database tables will migrate automatically on resource start — no manual SQL required.
-
Legacy printers with filament loaded but no recorded
mixture_typewill be auto-assigned PLA on startup (see Backward Compatibility above).
