Is this an addon ped component?

We apologize for any confusion. This script aims to be a more realistic approach to the ESX player weight system. It allows you to increase a player’s maximum inventory weight by a configurable amount when they have a compatible backpack item in their inventory.

In addition to its inventory-enhancing capabilities, 5d-backpack also includes a visual feature that allows you to force players to wear a pre-configured backpack clothing when equipped.

You can also take a look at the config file for the script, which we make public for any script that we offer.

Is there any major difference between this script and wasabi’s?

Our script is not dependant on ox_inventory and should work for the majority of inventory systems out there.

already exist in the base code of esx_skin

Not quite. Our script increases a players inventory weight when they own a backpack item. The base code of esx_skin includes an option to increase a players inventory weight when they wear a backpack skin. Our script allows for more possibilities in terms of RP economy. For example, you could implement a tailor job that crafts backpack items, which can be sold to other players.

still I dont really see a use in your script. just go to a clothing store and get a backpack that does the job aswell. yes you do open more RP possibilities but it wont be used mostly

We understand that you may not personally see the immediate use or value in our script. However, we believe that it serves a purpose and can enhance the role-playing experience for those who choose to utilize it.

As you have already agreed, the script opens up new possibilities within an RP server. While it may not be a necessity for everyone, there are individuals who appreciate the added depth and immersion that our script can provide.

We respect differing opinions and understand that not everyone will find value in every of our releases. Our intention is to cater to a diverse range of preferences and offer various options to enhance the enjoyment of role-playing.

Ultimately, the decision to use or disregard the script lies with each individual customer.
