Hi synchroneyes,
Maybe you can try deleting all of those files and reinstalling it in a different place. Check all of your GTA V files and make sure to download it only from this site.
Try downloading a new version, it maybe that when you were trying to downlaod those files their server to hand the data over was being cleaned or serviced breaking you connection, just try again if nothing then go to higher support.
