What did you do to get this issue?
I deleted all FiveM downloads I could find and then I tried to reinstall it.

Also add what you already tried so far.

Basically, when I tried to connect to a server it failed multiple times. Therefore I deleted all the download files from FiveM and tried to reinstall it from your website and I got the following message: unable to open citizenfx.exe.new for writing. I have searched on google for more info and I have tried deleting all the files I could find and restarting my pc.

Well If there is still no filepath after reinstalling FiveM you need to Install it again.

Did you try to disable/uninstall your Anti-virus?

Most likely because of this. The question is there so you try. Especially if you have AVG or Avast should you completely uninstall it.Disabling antivirus - Cfx.re Docs

add it to your exceptions.

you can whitelist FiveM from your antivirus. This way it won’t block FiveM again.

open your antivirus for me it is Windows defender ( but it should be almost the same in every antivirus )

in the left-bottom-corner should be a settings symbol
click on this symbol and scroll down to a point where it says something like
Virus & Threat Protection settings
Scroll down to add or remove exclusions click on the + symbol and choose what you want to add. take a
