Installation

This version has a much more simple installation, no longer need to edit meta files.

  • Put all three resources into a folder such as [enda] or [driveby] (Recommended)
  • Add the folder, or resource names, to your server.cfg
  • Edit the config inside ENDA and DD_UI_Aimstyle to your preferences
  • While in-game, use the command or keybind to open aimstyle UI (Default: G)

Note for v1 upgrade: If you changed your vehicle layout names, you will have to revert the layout names. This version does not override the layouts, instead it modifies the aiming animations in-game.

Take Vehicle Combat to the Next Level

This is not a simple update from v1, every aspect has been completely rebuilt, improved, and optimized. The extensive config options let you tailor vehicle combat to your server’s exact needs.

Enhanced Driveby Animations v2 doesn’t just look better — it plays better.

If you have changed the layout names to use v1, you will have to change them back to the original layout.

v1 replaced the default aiming animations by replacing the entire vehicle layout, v2 does not touch the layout and instead modifies the aiming animations in-game.

You could try to use both, v1 for your currently configured add-ons and v2 for default vehicles, but this hasn’t been tested and your v1 cars would miss out on some of the new features, such as driver animations and ability to toggle animations in-game.

ok thank you i also wanted to ask using v2 does it automatically make it so that u can do it with vanilla vehicles or u can turn it on and off

Both! By default, it is configured for almost every vanilla vehicle, but there are many config options so you can set it up exactly how you want.

You can choose to only allow the custom animations on specific vehicles, you can disable driveby entirely for specific vehicles, and you can even disable aiming for specific seats in specific vehicles.

add one hand style (for law enforcement)

Planning on handgun aiming with both hands for law enforcement.

Would that work or do you specifically want it one handed?

Both arms would be fine, but without stretching torso out the window.
Something like this would be great:

Also wanna notice, in GTA IV you already have animations with one hand gunfire.
Just only convert into your mod

Ah okay yes, I see what you mean! When aiming to the vehicle’s opposite (left) side, should they come out of the window to aim over the roof, or would you rather they aim from the interior?

I will be making some styles which take inspiration from GTAIV aiming, but I don’t think it’s allowed to convert any assets directly, so I’ll have to make my own version.

Another issue is that in V, the driver uses their right hand for aiming, unlike in IV. So it would probably look very awkward for the driver to hold their right hand out of the window, but I think this can be fixed by using both hands instead.

if both hands, angles should be limited like on pic.
With ability to unlock in settings up to 360 degrees.
Then cars on opposite side, aimed from interior.

Yes, in this case only swap gun to left hand would make sense.
For me both hands are ok. Law enforcement also using this aiming method while pursuit.
