“why did you do this???”
because i felt like it :)
THIS SCRIPT IS IN EARLY ACCESS
BY PURCHASING THIS SCRIPT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS INCOMPLETE AND THAT THERE IS A FIVEM BUG THAT BREAKS PED SYNC. YOU ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF EARLY ACCESS OF THE SCRIPT, NOT THE SCRIPT ITSELF. (IT WILL BE FREE WHEN IT GOES OUT OF EARLY ACCESS)
Description
Yeah, it’s just as insane as you think. Started as just messing with math, I ended up creating what’s basically the regular GTA camera. That’s it. Fully customizable, optimized (probably) fun, ethical etc.
As seen on my Twitter thread: https://twitter.com/xinerki/status/1665573485865754624?s=20(videos may not be fully accurate to the final product)
Customizing
Refer to the docs/settings.md file for info on what all the options in settings.json do. I’d recommend experimenting and see what does what. Players currently don’t have option to customize their own camera, so it’s up to the server admins to decide how the camera looks and acts.
when the local and remote players are outside the gameplay camera, the sync completely breaks when the remote player aims down a gun and moves around - the player doesnt walk, just teleports, and shooting isnt synced whatsoever
name one person that thought of let alone actually did the whole gta third person camera in a fivem script - camera itself is nothing crazy
because it’d be more concerning if it wasnt. it is ethical. i promise. :)
There are much more complex and praise worthy scripts that have been released through out years in this community. Changing player camera settings might seem complex to you, but I don’t see it as anything superior to anything else here.
Explain the ethical part. I still don’t understand your logic behind it. Or even better, how can one make a script unethical, according to you?
as someone who has been recently looking for camera based scripts or documentation on them, it is pretty crazy actually. and this script is actually well done too. idk why youre trying to downplay what was made just because it isnt your standard of cool
potential? overwhelming, because my recreating the camera’s functionality, you gain full control over how it functions and can add, remove, or change any aspect of it to your liking
practicality? by focusing so much on “practicality” you drain all joy from creating scripts, since you give up on creating fun and creative resources, because they arent “practical”. besides, it’s pretty damn practical if you think about it.
