I disabled ds3 tools and unnecessary applications after reading another post that controller drivers were interfering. will see if it works! … I tried reg editting TdrLevel both x32 and x64 seperate independatly and uninstall each one but no luck, i tried setting texture budget to 0, disabling mxaa and fxaa sep and independantly nope still crashes

Installing older driver… nope, i tried setting everything to normal and disabling ALL fxaa settings, i tried fiddling with more 3d options, nothing, im trying to enable game mode in windows 10 and enabling fivem for high performance… nope this doesent work either. I installed older drivers, nope. I tried avoiding the areas now in game but i forgot about it again and came into the same issue, again. -_-

im having same exact issue

"Just found out the fix for me, had been having this problem for about a month now. What fixed it for me was going to my FiveM shortcut, right clicking, going to properties, compability and enabling “Disable fullscreen optimizations”

I will try this now under siff settings and see what happens

Ive tested it, so far with FXAA disabled, right click properties, turn off fullscreen enhancements and graphic settings to medium i get crashes LESS often but i still get them. Will keep posted, I have new crash logs.

Ive physically exchanged the cables with my gpu and wiring ive mixed and matched wiring trying to get it stable, no dice. I went to only using 1 monitor, i updated the driver to the most recent one, again. Nothing. Please Help me. Im willing to pay anyone for help.

Ive gone into my bios and made sure my cpu is on all auto settings, and virtualization was off. I went into the singleplayer of gta to get it to work and noticed something!! I was getting an error at the tutorial mision same place everytime
gta5 error
ERR_GFX_D3D_INIT
The only solution i found that made me stable tho STILL stuttering heavily was deleting the two .dll files The err_gfx_d3d_init error is often linked with two bugged DLL files from the Custom HLSL compiler. Some users have managed to resolve the issue by deleting d3dcsx_46.dll and d3dcompiler.dll from the game installation folder.
And i tried setting windowed fullscreen mode in g t a hoping it would carry over to fivem.
Unsuccessful.
I went back and Tried running cmd and thinking maybe its C++ Visual libraries being corrupted and ran autorepair tool, it found errors! Repaired them I restarted. Nothing though.
Unsuccessful.
I will add new logs with dats and time stamps from today!

I seem to crash with the same error over and over doing the same thing in the same manner in the same place on the same server over and over and over again. I can replicate it perfectly.
The PD Station Jail cell rooms, opening and closing them causes me to crash with this error. Occasionally Pillbox parking lot or around there.
Never on the streets randomly.

I tried routing my monitor through to cpu and g p u alternating between them using dvi and hxmi and vgmia connections, ive been running benchmarks in heaven 2009 with no problems.

Went into windows 10 settings and setting both gta 5 and five m to use my graphics card at maximum performance.

No success.

You didn’t mention what graphics card you were using, but I’m going to guess it’s a… 3070, given the prevalence of this kind of issue with that GPU.

Try underclocking it, many of these cards are unstable with GTA V.

I gave the dxdiag listing specs, gts 1080 TI Zotac Amped Extreme. 128 GB GDDR4 21500 MHZ. AMD 5950x, BUT after MUCH more testing, i took the plunge and completly wiped all my data from my nvme drive. Re-installed windows. I Suspected that the only thing left was to check the posiblity of Corrupted C++ drivers. I was getting red pixels indicating gpu problems but i knew that the gpu was never stressed and didnt think it would be damaged. Ive encountered this before in the past but never document it, so history tends to repeat itself. I will keep this up as solution!

–Currently in Testing will report if the problem persists–

Update: I didnt get the crashing at the points where i was crashing before, for a long time. I thought it was complety gone. I encountered studdering where i would probably have experienced crashes instead but eventually it happened and i DID indeed crash with the DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error once more. But it was around a few hours of gameplay. Unsure of this. I will send the crash Dump.

Updated PC with nvidea driver and windows up to date. Still got crashes.

But there is hope, on the nvidea forums i found this…

Ran Windows Mem Test, Found no errors.

Leaving me with this solution…

For anyone still having this problem, on my 1080ti the solution was to bring the Power Limit down to 90% using MSI Afterburner. Downclocking the Core Clock a bit also helped.

Will see if that worked…

Good New guys It took a while but It was physically my card. Specifically the model 1080 and 1080 Ti’s I will screenshot my msi afterburner settings. I do not crash, or very rarely sometimes never all day. Besides the other crashes hah!
