No, FiveM isn’t lacking. We take performance seriously, unfortunately some servers don’t and that’s where the alleged performance issue stem from. We actually provide tools for server owners to optimize their scripts. We do more than you seem to realize, please have a bit of respect for the developers.
You say you encounter FPS issues, but don’t tell us what we must do to run into the same issues. Provide some steps that we can take to experience the same as you.
there’s a lot of servers with the concept of custom stuff where everything is almost custom , roads , cars, eups and maps and that’s where your fps will go nearly to half of it

Like which servers? How are you so sure it’s FiveM’s fault and not those specific servers’ scripts such as unoptimized ESX/vRP?

And I do sympathize with the issue being put forward here regarding pre-loading - it’s quite annoying to have new players (or those that cleared their cache for whatever reason) see people falling through the ground before the vehicles appear on the client. I do think it would be beneficial to allow pre-loading as an option, at least for certain hand-picked models.
That sounds like you’re running singleplayer with different graphics settings.

Not really? Even at lowest, on a 5900X, with a RTX 3090, I can get a max of 200 FPS and that’s at the airport.
i’ll give you an example that will instantly drop your fps count .
download the liberty city addon version or vice city addon or gta sa addon and let’s see how your fps performs and how textures load
or try to stand on a street and note your fps than enter a custom building or spawn many custom cars and lets see if its the same
And does the same perform fast on “rage multiplayer” or SP?

That is still not a good example, considering we ran one of those servers for ourselves and had no such issues. Something else is at play here.

Yeah it is. I used the GLife Lite map pack that was provided by @pichotm for performance testing and it works perfectly if I enter a custom interior like Pillbox Hospital included there.
Therefore, there’s probably something else going on and you should try providing ETW traces or so of the client.
the custom stuff makes fps drop but it’s not like it affects me , i am talking about others with hdds and lower specs than me and lower bandwith
