I played here since day 1 of opening. Putting my time and even supported financially with prio donations (Platinum at the time), I wish I hadn’t layed eyes on the place.
The level of roleplay on this server is depleting day by day. Any roleplayers that are still around (there is some) are sticking purely because of friends they’ve met on the server and if somewhere else opened up, I’m sure they’d jump ship too.
A large chunk of the staff here do not play the server and hang on the small amount of power they have here purely because they lack anything going for them in the real world. I was staff for a time and informed them that I was going away for 3 weeks on holiday to then be informed I’ve been stripped of my position and booted without any thank-you or anything. I was informed because I’m going away I cannot continue, do these people not have a real life? Pacifica Dawn needs to go and look in the mirror and have a good look at herself.
Whilst I was in the staff team I heard them talk about players in a manner that would have any other player banned for saying those things about staff. When a notable member of the community Elena Deveroux would voice her concerns I heard people in the staff team (of high ranking) say “Don’t listen to her, she’s a bitch that complains about anything”. Their words, not mine. I think her concerns are perfectly valid and she’s a lovely person!
If only I’d of print screened all the derogatary comments from staff members in their private discord, New Valley players would be in uproar.
Do not invest into this server either financially or with your time. It’s on a downward slope with power tripped staff involved and ‘shitlords’ roaming the county in mass.
If you’re looking to create a server for yourself, definetly give Sinatra a paid position as a Developer. He is a shining light who is worked and abused and I think a fresh start for him is warranted. Any community would be lucky to have him.
Isaac Huckabee the senior admin is someone else also extremely amazing. Deserves all the praise in the world.
