No, I do not agree with what you say! I am owner of a gta rp server, I am constantly full in 128 slots, which allows me to see the real flaws of ESX, this crappy framework, me personally I would be for a new framework, maintain me before I was Developers, who develop esx, maintain I learn the C # and I will redo all my server in C #, and that the server will be finished I will release the new version, but afterwards do not think that if you release a framework person goes to use it, after me personally I will leave it soon, as soon as I master the C #. In any case for good servers who like their server is good, it will take over your framework, I know 5-6 founders of servers looking for a framework, so after itâs as you want, I want to evolve my server, so I will do everything to succeed my goal ^^
This is something that was being worked on as a successor to ESX. However development has stalled due to the amount of work needed.
The point of it was that everything currently made for ESX is compatible or a better version of it is made.
I donât care much for ESX. I have went into their discord server before and asked for help, they banned me from it. I have been hoping for a new framework for some time that is not only easier to use, but as easy as FX is to edit.
Letâs all accept that humans are lazy so we use ESX.
Well thatâs kinda the point of âBetterESXâ, fix the broken shithole that ESX is.
Sadly, thatâs the base encounter for most of the server owners, they mainly just copy and pasting scripts and call themselves developers, sure thing is that it doesnât matter is you use ESX or Essentialmode, itâs about your skills and how you can handle them. Just check codes, re-write if needed. ESX is dumbly written.
Not us in this thread, though. We have infinite time and take no shortcuts.
You might know that RedM is planned, iâm sure lot of you are going to play that.
That means a lot of servers might have to start over again, iâm sure some people are going to try to reuse ESX (which probably works for some part) but it might be a chance to setup a good framework for some which than actually gets used
Deep inside Iâm hoping for some unique gamemodes for RedM, but Iâm sure some are going to start a roleplay server so it might be a good chance to work on a good framework then as now most people donât wanna switch away from current base
Iâve been thinking a bunch about making a Capture The Flag variant for FiveM lately. Maybe I should just make one for RedM instead
That would be something very interesting, look forward to hearing more about your idea when RedM comes out!
Yeah, well, donât hold your breath. Iâve been âplanningâ this for six months and just have a semi-functional outline for a prototype to show for it.
People canât handle their own frameworks because someone already did as you mentioned and itâs barely filled with someone whom have real programming skills, I have encountered to many people in my country that uses âESXâ just drag and drop and calls themselves developers. Sadly thatâs the trust nowadays and hopefully RedM will cancel that act of people, hopefully.
I donât mean to take your hope from you, but at the same time I think youâre overestimating the power of RedM.
Do you really think it will change human nature?!
Nope. Human nature and laziness will always be there.
I feel as if this is an important topic to discuss. Pinning this topic for the next week or so.
I wouldnât call myself a real developer, or maybe i could but i have been learning coding over the past year and could make my own scripts. But i still am truely just editing esx and it is fun.
However for RedM, if itâs even possible which it should be. I might look into making my own framework and helping all of you guys out. I have a small development team and might make something.
Of course Iâm porting EssentialMode to RedM but I wonât attempt the same for ESX. Iâm hoping no one does,
Seeing as RedM will be a clean slate and no one will have done anything, Iâm going to make my own framework for it too
Maybe even utilising essentialmode
