Sure. Check out the native reference page for GetEntityPlayerIsFreeAimingAt.

GET_ENTITY_PLAYER_IS_FREE_AIMING_AT #

BOOL GET_ENTITY_PLAYER_IS_FREE_AIMING_AT(Player player, Entity* entity);

Returns TRUE if it found an entity in your crosshair within range of your weapon. Assigns the handle of the target to the *entity that you pass it.
Returns false if no entity found.

So we run this native and assign the values to bool (which is TRUE if it finds an entity) and entity (which is the entity it found, if applicable).

We then check to see if bool is true or not, which indicates if an entity was found. If it’s true, we then check if entity is a ped or not using the IsEntityAPed native. If it is a ped, we delete the entity.

You could further reduce the code if you want no nested if statements, like so:

Citizen.CreateThread( function ()
	while true do
		Citizen.Wait(0)
		local bool, entity = GetEntityPlayerIsFreeAimingAt(PlayerId(), Citizen.ReturnResultAnyway())
		if bool and IsEntityAPed(entity) then
			DeleteEntity(entity)
		end
	end
end)

Wouldn’t cause any performance difference, but does simplify it a bit.
