To be honest, I dont really need support here. I have a legitimate copy of GTA V, I have all of the DLC because its included with the steam copy. etc.
Anyway, at the point in the Five M install process where it goes to update, it tells me that it cannot find a version of the cache, so one will have to be downloaded and its going to be about 550mb. After about 30 seconds, it times out and I get an error saying “Downloading of htttps://runtime.fivem.net/patches/… etc failed with CURLcode 0x16”
I tried to manually connect to the site, it says that the host is down. There seems to be a lot of confusion on this issue as I’ve done quite a bit of digging around on the forums before I decided to post. I just wanted to bring to the attention of the creators here that its because the client is trying to download a cache file and the server is down. This is also why users mysteriously report that the issue “usually resolves itself magically within a day or so”.
