What is the issue you’re having?
This is my first time ever launching RedM. RDR2 was purchased on Epic Games. RedM crashes consistently with the exact same crash signature (RDR2_b1491.exe+2C8363F, legacy hash three-sixteen-fanta) either right on launch or shortly after, before ever connecting to a server.

Red Dead Online and RDR2 story mode both work completely fine when launched directly through the Epic Games Launcher / Rockstar Games Launcher - this issue only happens through RedM.
What have you tried already to fix the issue?
- Deleted RedM cache (content_index.xml, game-storage folder)
- Reinstalled RedM and RDR2 completely
- Verified RDR2 game files through Epic Games Launcher
- Closed all overlays (Discord, Blitz, OBS Studio) before launching
- Switched Graphics API between DX12 and Vulkan in RDR2 settings (both eventually crash - DX12 gives this exact crash, Vulkan gave a different one-time crash: RDR2_b1491.exe+C7DA9, hash stairway-north-social)
- Checked Windows Defender exclusions for RedM and RDR2 folders
What server did you get this issue on?
None - happens before connecting to any server, or very shortly after joining one.
Windows version
Windows 11 (25H2)
System specifications
Acer Nitro 5, AMD Ryzen 5 5600H, NVIDIA GTX 1650 (dedicated), 16GB RAM, SSD 512GB
Antivirus software
Microsoft Defender
Additional comments
RDR2 is running on an integrated AMD GPU laptop (no dedicated card). RDO/story mode work fine outside RedM, so game files and hardware don’t seem to be the issue - this seems isolated to RedM’s own rendering/init process.
