I’ve tried remove the caches.xml, reinstalling fivem, and updating windows. I still get the error when launching. The main menu doesn’t even open, the small orange launcher window pops up for a second then the error message pops up. Everything was working fine last night, but today when i try to get in, it just crashes right off the bat.

EDIT: Removed the “dirty” files, ran story mode, launched fivem, same error.

FiveM requires a clean copy of GTA V.

whats unclean about it?
Besides, it was working 16 hours ago, and for a year before now.

the following folders:

  • data
  • enbseries
  • Map Builder for FiveM
  • menyooStuff
  • ReadMe
  • Redistributables
  • reshade-shaders
  • scripts

some other files too

Being that it was working last night just fine, i dont think that’s the issue, but i’ll remove them just to test it.

EDIT: No change. Same error.

Fivem singleplayer works just fine though. Not sure if that’s any help.

Thats interesting, this is usually caused by windows being outdated, you are sure its on 1903?

yeah I’m positive. I’m at a loss, I’ve looked on every post, searched the project FiveM discord, followed any step i could find.

Update: 24 hours later, it’s still happening. I’ve reinstalled gtav completely.

I used the “refresh windows” option and it works now.
