Connection interrupted! Reconnecting to server

I’ve recently created a Linux FiveM server on my VPS provider that I am using. When I run the server in PuTTY using the command: …/server/run.sh +exec server.cfg everything works fine and I am able to load in. After I’m in the actual game and I close PuTTY, a couple of seconds later I get this message in the top left hand corner saying, “Connection interrupted! Reconnecting to server…” and after 10 times it tries to reconnect I get kicked out of the server and the server disappears from the Direct Connect list. I’m not sure why it is doing this when it is on my VPS. This forces me to open up PuTTY again and perform that command where it does the same thing when I close PuTTY. If someone could please help me that would be great! Thank you.

Yeah, you might want to be running it on a screen. Effectively, when you are closing putty, you are killing the server.

Thank you. However, if were to add like a vehicle for example and need to restart the server. How would I go on about doing that?

You can just restart the resource from the server itself, to go back to a screen recently used, type screen -r.
That will bring you back to the CFX server running.

From there you use:
stop *Resourcename*
refresh
start *Resourcename*

And to close the session, you go back to the screen, and press Ctrl + A then Ctrl + D. This will kill your server.

Alternatively people have made bash scripts for others to use, they have commands such as ./manage start/stop/restart etc.

Have a search for ./manage and you will find some.
