Connection Failed - No Heartbeat Received

What is the issue you’re having?

I cannot seem to connect to any servers. Every server that I try gets stuck on the “Preparing to request authentication ticket…” step before eventually failing after around a minute. Each time, it gives either the “No heartbeat received” error or the “Initial heatbeat failed” error with nothing in the detailed info section. I also get an early-exit trap crash fairly often, but I’m not sure if that’s related at all.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Cleared FiveM cache, uninstalled/reinstalled FiveM 3 times, verified GTA V files 2 times, reinstalled GTA V once. I’ve also trying resyncing my clock in windows settings numerous times, as that seems to be the primary fix for this issue when googling around.

Additional comments

I’ve uploaded my most recent crash dump for the early-exit failure in case it helps at all with the heartbeat failures, but I think they’re unrelated.

It should also be noted that it’s been a few years since I’ve used FiveM, but I’ve been trying lots of things over the last few days including numerous reinstalls to try to get this working again so I don’t think that should be an issue.

As an update, miraculously I was able to connect to my preferred server about two hours ago, which finally got my FiveM settings in sync so I no longer needed to restart every time I tried to connect.

Unfortunately, I needed to relog and now the issue is occurring again, so it seems nothing is fixed. I’ve tried a few more times, and also tried resyncing my windows time multiple times, but I continue to get the same “no heartbeat received” error.
