Welcome to the August edition of the Community Spotlight, where we highlight exciting community-created FiveM/RedM work, including servers, scripts, resources, streams, and more.
If you’re interested in having your creations featured in upcoming Community Spotlights, make sure to get your releases in on the FiveM Releases and RedM Releases categories, and keep sharing your work on the #showcase channel on the Cfx Discord server.
New Marketplace Creators
Before we dig into this month’s Spotlight, we’re happy to announce that we’ve recently added another wave of creators to the Cfx Marketplace. That means more FiveM and RedM content to discover for your own servers!
Sollumz Update
We also have an update to the Sollumz plug-in, which we’ve been working on with community contributor alexguirre. You can find a full rundown of the release here, but you can expect to find:
- YMAP Rework: Re-implemented YMAP support to have a workflow more like the MLO workflow and added support for missing features like entity LOD hierarchy management, MLO instances, timecycle modifiers, grass batches, LOD lights, and automatic map partitioning
- Texture Dictionary (YTD) Support: Import/export/create YTDs
- Asset Libraries Improvements: Easier ways to create Blender asset libraries from game files or custom YTYPs/assets
- Presets Everywhere: Expanded the existing presets system (collision flags, lights, shaders) to pretty much every property group in Sollumz (entities, archetypes, extensions, bone fragment physics, cargens, timecycle modifiers, etc.)
Now, onto the Spotlight!
FiveM
Wolf Fire Modz’s Combat Overhaul
Wolf Fire Modz (working with Kaz Productions, Ghost.Terror, and Popcorn RP) have just released a combat overhaul script for FiveM.
This free resource reworks all the fighting animations for greater immersion during combat, including:
- A new (and more aggressive!) carjacking animation sequence
- A replacement for Run-Punch that provides a new dodge mechanic
- Reworked Finishers
- Improved stomping and other ground-based attacks
It’s a drag-and-drop standalone resource that can be easily added to any FiveM server, and you can find it on the Cfx Forum here.
NX-Creative’s nx_write
NX-Creative have just released their physical notepad writing system for FiveM, where players can hold a notepad or sticky note in their hands and write out their messages in real time.
This free resource turns typed characters into animated cursive, stroke by stroke. Players can also draw ink directly on the paper using the mouse cursor.
The notepads and sticky-note sheets are also placeable within the world: Players can set the written-on notepad on a surface, and other nearby players can read anything written/drawn on it. Other players can also pick up the paper and add their own messages to it, perfect for sharing secrets or planning not-quite-legal missions.
Find nx_write here on the Cfx Forum.
RedM
Luman’s Camera Tool
Luman Cinematic Camera is a polished cinematic camera tool for RedM creators, making it easy to produce RedM trailers, cutscenes, promotional videos, and immersive cinematic experiences.
It offers a wealth of creative solutions for videographers looking to craft the perfect shot: Creators can attach cameras directly to players, horses, wagons, or other entities to create tracking shots, follow cams, and action sequences with ease.
Luman Cinematic Camera provides a complete RedM photography/filmmaking pipeline with professional editing tools, advanced camera path creation, environmental controls, and entity tracking — all inside RedM. It’s designed to help creators achieve high-quality results without relying on external editing tools or workarounds.
Find it here on the Cfx Forum.
Fixitfy’s FX-Camping System
FX-Camping by Fixitfy is an advanced and optimized camping system designed for RedM roleplay servers. It provides a complete outdoor camping experience with a well-stocked in-game prop store, individual prop placement controls, wagon-based camp relocation, and synchronized camp states for all players on the server.
Compatible with both VORP and RSG, FX-Camping has been designed for performance and scalability, as well as including individual member permissions per task (Storage, Menu Access, Place/Remove Props, etc.), so your players can make sure no rogue decorators can get their hands on their camps.
The script also comes with a built-in Tutorial System with step-by-step images and GIFs, helping your players understand the mechanics of the camp system with ease.
You can find FX-Camping on the Cfx Marketplace here.
That’s all for this month. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
