After many weeks of hard work we’re pleased to announce that in preparation for the imminent opening of Rack City RP the server’s take on both the Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol is ready to begin actively seeking to recruit the very best LEO players out there to begin training and operations .
Why Us?
This is an opportunity to join a dedicated group and help build, from the ground up- not just our departments but a form of LEO RP who’s aims and standards are the amongst the highest in the FiveM community.
Both departments have leads in place, both with many years LEO roleplaying and administration experience as well as a CHP lead with real life Law Enforcement experience.
We have worked together to bring both departments up to a high and consistent standard.
Like many other servers we offer the following custom made or modified:
Uniforms - EUP, custom modified to reflect both LAPD and CHP uniforms.
Buildings - Both the LAPD (Mission Row) and CHP (La Messa) have custom MLO police stations, as well as a fantastic MLO for Bolingbroke prison… with more stations and facilities to come as the server grows.
Vehicles - Two fleets of vehicles for each department with custom liveries and handling, as well as helicopters, fitted with cameras for tracking vehicles during pursuits.
Weapons - Glock 17 sidearm, Sig-Sauer MCX carbine rifle and less than lethal shotgun (taser).
Radio - The DOJRP based San Andreas Radio Plugin.
Sonoran CAD - Fully integrated into Wraith Radar and plans in the future to create or commission a fully customised CAD to replace Sonoran.
Unlike many other servers - a great deal of time and effort has been spent in the development of both departments. Standard Operating Procedures and policies based both on real life policing and reflecting on the combined experience of practical roleplay in FiveM and elsewhere.
Specially devised and created recruit/cadet training program covering all the basics of policing and the not so basic skills required to be a successful police officer in a mature roleplay environment. Our training is a mix of easy to follow slideshow(s), classroom and hands on practical training in game. We want to ensure every potential recruit is given every opportunity to learn the intricacies of RP policing and can develop their skills to make the roleplay as fun and realistic as possible for everyone.
We have a custom penal code, based directly off that of the real Penal Code of California, adjusted and modified for suitability to our roleplayed out world. This penal code is backed up by a jail, fine and vehicle impound system to ensure crime and justice can be played out realistically and to a satisfying conclusion for all. We hope to develop a full Department of Corrections and legal system with courts as the server and our RP grows and evolves.
With real life LEO experience and input we also intend to expand into specific and specialised training in everything from scene and victim management to traffic and investigative skills as well as realistic training for officers wishing to volunteer to specialist operations such as High Risk Warrant executions and the Special Weapons and Tactics team.
Our aim is to be more than just 9-5 police officers, restricting our roleplay to the basics of traffic tickets and arrests. We want our LEOs to be as much a part of the stories as possible and so we plan on supporting our players in the creation of ongoing roleplay not just as cops but as citizens of our take on California. Off duty officers, specialist units, corruption, the real (and fun) pressures of being a police officer in a sprawling metropolis and state.
What We’re Looking For:
Only those who are prepared to dedicate their time to bringing their best roleplay. We don’t expect every applicant to be an expert police officer but we do expect everyone to give it their best.
Maturity, a willingness to learn, good communication and interpersonal skills are all essential.
Open Positions:
Presently we have many open positions from cadets to high command. We’re only accepting direct applications into the cadet program(s) for officers at present. Only players who can demonstrate excellent qualities and experience in LEO RP will be reviewed for places in Chain of Command.
Cadets and Officers - As a cadet you will be given access to a full training program with support from our training officers and chain of command. A basic slideshow and classroom element will lead into ingame training and recruit ride alongs. After successful completion of a short probationary period you will become a fully sworn officer in the LAPD or CHP, opening up opportunities for promotion and skills development, allowing you to take on specialist tasks and ever greater challenges.
Will you stay in uniform and keep the streets safe or will your career take you out of uniform and into the world of criminal investigations and intelligence? It’s not just about promotion but the opportunities to test your skills in new and forever changing ways.
Special Units - At Officer II opportunities open up, through training and good discipline to apply to or be invited into specialist units.
Air/Maritime - Helicopters and boats, providing support to the troops on the (dry) ground. We are looking for players experienced in these operations to help form these units for each department, to assist in creating the training, policies and procedures.
Gang Unit - A by invitation only specialist unit with the LAPD’s Investigations Division. This semi-autonomous unit is charged with detecting and disrupting gang and organized crime with the City of Los Angeles. Though it may not necessarily be as clean cut as first appears, without the oversight of other units corruption can never be said to be too far away… this unit is accepting new entrants but only those with exceptional policing experience and roleplaying skills.
Chain of Command - Chain of Command provides for the supervisory, training and management of both departments, both in and out of character. Players will only be promoted to this level if they can show the requisite skills and attitudes.
At present Chain of Command in both departments have many vacancies but only players who can demonstrate an exceptional level of maturity, management skills and experience may apply. (Applications may be made directly to the relevant Number One of the respective department after successfully being accepted onto the server whitelist and application into the relevant department.)
