Can't find my server via my external IP

I’m out of ideas. I’ve searched the forums, I’ve used Google but I can’t find any solution…

I’m hosting my server localy and need a friend to join it to be able to test my scripts but he can’t find it nor can I by entering my external IP. I can find it by entering my local ip (192.168…) or by using localhost.

What I’ve tried:

Open port 30120 on my router
Add a port rule in my firewall
Restarted my router, server and my computer

Do I need to change something in the config files to get it to work?

I have same problem but i can connect to the server. Others cant.

port forwarding issue, make sure port 30120 and 30110 are opened.

Verify your port is actually open http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/port-scan/

Not all ISPs allow ports to go through even if you opened them on your router.
