Hi i have set a separate machine at my house to be my fivem server and when i go to my gaming computer to search for mine so i can start setting it up the way i want it i cant find it… its all on the same local network (i haven’t done any port forwarding)
Can you confirm that your server.cfg (server configuration file) does not have the following line uncommented?
# Uncomment this line if you do not want your server to be listed in the server browser.
# Do not edit it if you *do* want your server listed.
#sv_master1 ""
EDIT: I’ve just re-read your original post and I believe my original answer is probably not your solution, considering you’re on the same network.
You should be able to connect to your local server (that is on the same network) by opening FiveM, pressing F8 and entering the following:
connect [YOUR OTHER COMPUTERS LOCAL IP]:[YOUR SERVER PORT]

that connect worked i was able to get into it on myy local network. so now once i get it to were i want it how do i get it to were my friends can connect to it from there houses?
Yes you friends can connect to your server
But first of all you have to portforward you server
There are many tutorials explaining how to do it
Its not a big deal
