Are you under impression they lack feedback from the community on this forum? Including the core members?
For all I know it could be a heard of hampsters running on wheels powering the network, idk.
Ironically, this is kind of what has been said by certain core community members. Hence their dissapointed feedback. And that’s why I keep reminding people here whenever I can that you have to first and foremost take care of yourselves. The Management won’t do it for you.
not enough measures to protect against them
It has been said C# encryption will be “very, very soon” back in… Can’t remember, was it 2021? And still nothing (afaik)? How’s that for feedback and taking care of core community and respected and capable developers?
All I know is I’m doing my part to provide communication and feedback where I can for whoever’s eyes may find this post. R*, Cfx, you, and any other person/entity.
And I’m sure the community appreciates your feedback. And my response and advice is:
Idk, all I know is I’m very active on the forums and I see where staff are active.
Its hard to take your perspectives seriously when you talk about being predominantly inactive on the platform.
Of course if you aren’t around or paying attention, you won’t see anything happening.
Plus action doesn’t always transate to readable text. So, the staff is here people are around but they may not have time to communicate or interact or post messages as much as one would expect.
You’re entitled to your opinions, I just disagree with most of them due to your aforementioned inactivity.
In general i agree with your points. There a lot of resources that have bad code or support.
BUT
in many cases some developers get on pranger because of the thousands of people, that starting daily a roleplay server & dont even TRY to understand or learn how to “install” simply plug and play resources. They report issues or bugs, where no bugs are to find.
Just take a little bit time and take a look into support sections in cfx or tx discord. There are sometimes “questions” or “issues” that NOT coming from bad resources or predatory developers.
Its kind of impossible create a general and neutral opinion just depending on “feedbacks” from customers, because MOST customers are not 200+ prime servers. Its just a few “professional” projects and people that really knowing, what they talking about. if you compare to the other 30.000 servers. And these “professionall” people most case dont even buy from cfx any resources, they code their script itself.
On the other hand, many “owner” gets reports by their communitys about issues, that most case are “client related” issues because of not cleaned cache, bad computer settings, modifications of original gta files / fivem files or something else. And the “owners” have not enough “knowledge” to seperate a server bug from a client related issue → Going into script support & report issues, that are not possible to reproduce → script support can not help → and the “owner” / “customer” say: “Its a bad script support here”
So will have have everytime a big mass on false reports & negativ critism just because of mistakes that have been done by the people, that dont understand simple things as well.
Just for example → People download wrong es_extended version → updating and dont understand how to update getSharedObject correctly. → Its not victim of predatory developers → its simply the fact, that everyone want to run a own server, without learning something.
I agree, many people (including myself at first) jsut dive in w/o reading docs and make it harder on everyone else. Folks that are in that situation are kind of exempt from this conversation; this is more so actual predatory devs, not the ones that don’t subscribe to educating those who aren’t willing to read docs.

Again, agreed that the devs with genuine scripting shouldn’t be thrown into this category. I’m an admin for a well known dev and I see the tickets of people asking how fix an issue when it clearly says the error in the console (usually config syntax related).
