Dude, it’s just a bug. Nobody is going out of their way to sabotage the manual transmission mod.
Why would they? What possible reason could they have?
Oh, and programming, reduced to it’s absolute most basic part, is “just pushing buttons”, but in reality it’s a little more complex that that. Stuff usually is.
