After RedM Update -> Failed to Obtain Steam ticket

What is the issue you’re having?

After the new RedM update, I am no longer able to join the server: “Der Wilde Westen”
I get the error message shown in the screenshot (redm error.png).

The following start conditions apply:
Steam is started and logged in
Teamspeak 3 is started

Here is what happens step by step:

  1. I start RedM
  2. RedM loads and opens the Rockstar Games Launcher
  3. For a few milliseconds, I can see the error in the second screenshot (redm error2.png)
  4. RedM continues to start as usual
  5. I select “Play” and try to connect to the “Der Wilde Westen” server
  6. I get the error message from the first screenshot (redm error.png)

What I noticed:
I use RDR2 via the Rockstar Games Launcher, not via Steam, but I also own RDR2 on my Steam account.
Since the update, my Steam account has been trying to start RDR2, and it looks like it’s working, even though it’s not even installed there.

What have you tried already to fix the issue?

Reinstall RedM
Delete RedM Cache
Reinstall Rockstar Games Launcher
Delete Rockstar Games Launcher Local User

What server did you get this issue on?

Der Wilde Westen

Steam MUST be installed in the following location:
C:\Program Files (x86)

Hello can you please check if Steam is running as admin? With new changes Steam needs to not be running as an admin for FiveM/RedM to be able to authenticate with it.
