Why can’t we switch to the Story Mode map?
After 13 years, the maps are different. I think I’m not the only one who would like to run a server in the old vibe 2013 scenery.
The older map is also lighter, has fewer interiors, items, etc., which translates into better performance. Servers like racing or chases don’t need all this DLC stuff.
Btw; the solution “run on an old build” is not a solution, because we lose all the additional cars.
Seeing as the base map is the exact same I fail to see what you’re talking about. Any new thing Rockstar adds map wise is an IPL that is unloaded by default.
This is the exact solution because you can’t have both. The cars come with the DLC so not having said DLC removes the cars.
Not entirely. While many map additions are controlled by IPLs, not all of them are. Over the years Rockstar has also modified .ymap files and other map data directly, so RemoveIpl() doesn’t revert every change.

Not necessarily. It is technically possible to run the latest game build with an older version of the map by replacing the map data as a custom resource. The problem is that this requires duplicating Rockstar’s map files as a separate streamed resource, meaning every client has to download the entire map again. It would be much more efficient if FiveM allowed loading the original in-game map resources selectively instead of duplicating them.
Except it is and Rockstar is not going to allow separating DLC just because you don’t like the new map.
