so how many pepole need to sign for discord to change or how does it come about them seeing that ?
We are hoping for a decent amount of people to sign up. Then I intend on speaking to discord and attempting to resolve the ongoing issue…

you should make your own post on the fivem fourms with that because you won’t reach everyone on this post
I honestly thought Discord was better than this and in the interest of their community, especially a guild of 150k+ people. Understandable ToS violation, but didn’t require such drastic action from their side without prior consultation. Clearly they haven’t evaluated the knock-on effect on the tens of thousands playing FiveM.

Update: We’ve gotten a reply from Discord stating an alternate method for local consent-based authentication, which they say should not require explicit whitelisting.
We’ll implement an update to the client shortly to integrate this, assuming it works.

Well, I for one have cancelled my Discord Nitro until such a time where Discord start playing ball. They’ve just screwed over thousands of people and all for nothing. Thanks for everything you guys do, you’re all amazing! <3

I use it in my framework but do find that from time to time if a player changes PC or a new User Account on the machine (rebuilds etc) in the rare case the license changes, its the same if the user was to delete the digital license store on Windows. Also in other cases you sometimes find more than one user will have the same license returned but with different xblive, steam, or discord, even a different country, because of shared details.
I was hoping Discord would be good as it helps with perms and roles on the server but as this now will be dropped I’ll need to find another way and can only believe writing my own Auth is the better process but that then comes into other issues down the line which I’ll need to consider.
EDIT: Hopefully the new method for getting the Discord ID can be implemented and work as w expect it to. Heres to the Devs, GL.
