A Little question/request

Hello, dear FiveM team,
I wanted to make a request or question. Is it possible to somehow make more than 64 Slots with OneSync, because I have a big community and it always annoys several servers at the same time to let the players play. Should be feasible if FiveM allows it. Because if 64 slots with OneSync run stable, then for example, 128 slots should also run stable. This is not a problem with the plugins as they are all individually configurable and I can reprogram them anytime. There is no problem in paying a little more money. I support you already as well as possible with the Aurum club.

I don’t believe so, but I would personally recommend having multiply servers to reduce clutter.

I do not like that either because it upsets me. But there is no other solution and I do not want to switch to ■■■■■■ now either.

The voting is running from february to today but nothing happened to this day. You can only have 64 slots.

ehhh no. It’s not a case of changing a number.

Also, 64 players is heaps! 2 64 slot servers is heaps, even three. Saying you have 192 consistent players all the time seems a bit false in my opinion… Something I’ve never seen… That’s the equivalent to 6 servers.

A change to higher then 54 may happen in the future, but like OneSync its the process of re-making the online framework, seeming they appear to be moving away from R* sync etc.

This is all my points, these are not from FiveM or anything. An element may respond???

You see SAMP servers with 900+ players on a reasonably small map. If there was a decent server on FiveM that was fun and could manage the resource demand then I don’t see why more than 64 players would be strange.

Some servers do indeed have 6 servers, some have 3x 64 slot servers. I believe FiveM should work on a stable, no-bugs Onesync that can support hundreds of players. The only thing that should limit a servers player count is their RAM/CPU.

You are aware that with supporting things such as population, this gets very different than “just change a number and it’ll work”, right? There are still issues being discovered with 64 clients to this day that are directly related to statically allocated arrays in game code, we will only consider expanding this by the time that all these dependent lists work correctly.

That, and server crashes get infinitely more disastrous, and we also barely have enough people to test validity for 64 clients, let alone multiples of that amount…

… so a current focus is rather to get this to work stably, implement missing functionality, fix scripting pain points and other client crashes.

Once it is clear what is needed, either virtualization of players will be added to the current system, or a new system will be written supporting spanning server trees to balance out load, but the latter is highly unlikely to happen soon given that currently all maintenance and development tasks get done by pretty much one single person.
